Terms of Service

Thank you for using Goongoom ("the Service"). These Terms of Service govern the relationship between the individual developer ("the Operator") and the users of the Service.

1. Acceptance and Changes to Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Operator may modify these Terms within the scope of applicable laws.
In the event of a modification, the Operator will announce the effective date and the reason for the change at least 7 days prior to the effective date. For changes unfavorable to users, a notice period of at least 30 days will be provided.
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you may stop using the Service and terminate your account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Eligibility

The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 14 years of age.
Access to certain features may be restricted for users under the age of 14 if personal information collection is required.

3. Provision and Modification of Service

The Operator provides Q&A and community-related features to users.
The Service may be modified or suspended depending on the Operator's circumstances. In such cases, the Operator will notify users in advance via service announcements. However, in cases of unpredictable failures or urgent system maintenance, notice may be provided after the fact.
The Operator may use collected member information and other data generated during service use (including user-created content such as questions, answers, and comments, and service usage records) for internal statistical/analytical purposes to maintain and improve the Service and to develop other services that the Operator may provide in the future. In such cases, the Operator will process the data in a de-identified or pseudonymized form so that individuals cannot be identified, and will not disclose or sell it externally.

4. User Content

Ownership and copyright of content (questions, answers, etc.) posted by users remain with the respective authors.
By posting content, you grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service.
You warrant that your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, and you are solely responsible for any liability arising from your content.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:

Stealing or impersonating another person's information.
Altering information posted by the Operator.
Transmitting or posting information (such as computer programs) prohibited by law.
Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of the Operator or third parties.
Damaging the reputation or interfering with the business of the Operator or third parties.
Posting or disclosing obscene, violent, or otherwise socially unacceptable messages, images, or sounds.
Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Operator's prior consent.
Engaging in any other illegal or unjust activities.

6. Data Collection and Monitoring

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that the Operator collects and processes certain data as described in the Privacy Policy, including but not limited to:
- Automatically collected technical information such as IP address, device information, location data, and browser preferences.
- Activity and action logs recording your interactions with the Service.
- Error tracking data for the purpose of diagnosing and resolving service issues.
- Session replay recordings, which are visual recordings of user interactions with the Service (including screen content, mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior), collected on a sampling basis for the purpose of error diagnosis and service quality improvement.
- Product analytics data, including feature usage events, user interactions, and behavioral data for service improvement purposes.
The collection and use of such data is governed by the Privacy Policy, and your continued use of the Service constitutes consent to such collection and processing.
Session replay recordings are collected only for a sample of user sessions and are used solely for error diagnosis and service improvement purposes.

7. AI-Powered Features

The Service may provide AI-powered features, including but not limited to automatic content translation.
AI-generated content (such as translations) is provided for convenience and informational purposes only. The Operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
When using AI-powered translation features, the text content you submit may be processed by third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI via Vercel AI Gateway) as described in the Privacy Policy.
Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it. The Operator shall not be liable for any errors, misunderstandings, or damages arising from the use of AI-generated content.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Operator shall not be liable for failure to provide the Service due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, strikes, or other causes beyond the Operator's control.
The Operator is not responsible for service disruptions caused by the user's own fault.
The Operator does not guarantee the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of information, materials, or facts posted by users on the Service.
For free services, the Operator shall not be liable unless otherwise specified by applicable law. However, the Operator remains liable for damages caused by the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Any disputes arising between the Operator and the user shall be submitted to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
